Natalie has been quiet all these years about what she did all those years ago, this is the first time
she's ever spoken about it, it even surprised me! This ordeal did inspire her back then to comment
that she wanted to be a lawyer to fight injustice causes, she said that at the 1998 meeting before
she even knew she was going to ride the next year, she said she wanted to help keep me out of
jail, for that I thank those people who resisted our attempt to show. She yet still is working towards
that goal, you'll be able to see and feel that in her comments below. Thank you everyone who
continues to inspire my children with all your kind comments about our family..they all are
energized by your encouragement.....

Wow, I'm overwhelmed with all the response about "the story". It's not a new "news breaking" type
story, the whole story itself is going on its 6th year of existence but till this time it's been kept
under wraps. Which is EXACTLY what the antagonist in the story wanted! They wanted to wipe out
of existence this story for they knew the implications it would pose if the "mass public" got a hold
of it. So in saying all that I would just like to commend my father for keeping the story "alive"
despite the attempts of smoldering . And maybe just maybe just the simple acknowledgement of
the story can light a spark of hope into the long oppressed, downtrodden "Flat-Shodders" of the
breed and let them know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Because as long as the tunnel is
covered in a veil of darkness no one can see whats going on, but as soon as people fumble their
way in equipped with flashlights the beginning of the end can come to the "dark world".
What this breed needs most is for people like my family to no longer accept the "norms" of the
breed. Saying "oh well its normal for there to be a discrimination between classes of horses, its
normal for ol' fashion Walking Horse Trainers to sore their horses and still pass inspection." NO!
Its not "normal"! Its not normal for horses to be in constant pain on this Earth for the simple
enjoyment of man, its NOT normal for children witnessing the atrocity of soring growing up to
simply perpetuate the idea that its ok to torture animals" Is it just me or does this not seem
Normal? And if it IS normal then the end is near, because this is truly a sign of the decaying of
morality in the society we live in. This Nation has a rich history of minorities standing up against
injustices and for what they believe because they're sick and tired of their treatment, and actually
having great success with it. So my question is then, are the "natural" Tennessee Walking Horse
people Sick and Tired of treatment of their beloved animals?? If so, Do something bout it! Okay Ill
get off my soapbox for the moment, but keep in mind thats my favorite spot to be so "I'll be back!"

I often get asked the question, "so are you still involved?" Despite my hectic schedule I am slowly
mastering the art of juggling school life, family life, and family business life. So here is my response
to that.
Yes, I am still very much involved in the TWH. I still haven't realized the full impact of my actions
that night in September 1999. Watchout is an awesome horse he truly took care of me in that class,
Watchout and I had only ridden together before this class about 2 times. But if you have been
taught dressage and the horse is trained using dressage, you can get off the back of one horse
and perform on another. All of my mom's horses were trained this way and so were we.
Watchout noticed the fact that I was riding him and not my mom and did what he was suppose to do
regardless of my inexperience for never showing him before this. Since then he and I have
become very comfortable together and continue to work side by side with my mother. Horses are
in my blood,
I knew how to ride a horse before I knew how to walk therefore horses are ALWAYS going to be
with me regardless of the professional career I plan to pursue in law/politics. And when I do
become a politician I will use my passion for the natural Tennessee Walking Horse to correct years
of ignorance on the part of the old mind set. Once again thank you for taking the time to contact
me, I really appreciate it, now I need to get back to Senior thesis proposals, Take care
